The IT-Link 1:8 PLC Splitter is a high-density passive optical component that splits one fiber optic input into eight equal output signals. Built on planar lightwave circuit technology with a silica glass waveguide chip, it provides uniform and stable light distribution across the entire 1260-1650 nm operating range. Maximum insertion loss is 10.5 dB with return loss exceeding 50 dB (UPC polish) and spectral uniformity within 0.6 dB, ensuring balanced power delivery to all eight output ports. This makes the 1:8 splitter the most commonly deployed ratio in GPON networks, serving as the primary or secondary splitting stage in ODN (optical distribution network) architectures. The mini module form factor with 0.9 mm fiber pigtails and SC/UPC connectors fits standard distribution frames, splice closures, and outdoor cabinets. Rated for -40 to +85 degrees C and compliant with Telcordia GR-1209 and GR-1221 standards.
